BODICE Basic Block Pattern PDF
A basic bodice block is a fitted foundation pattern for the upper body, drafted to reflect the natural proportions and contours of the bust, waist, shoulders, and back. It is also referred to as a bodice sloper.
The block is intentionally free from design details, allowing it to be used as a foundation for developing a wide range of women’s garments. The block includes the essential shaping required to create a close, controlled fit around the bust, waist and shoulders, while allowing the necessary ease for movement.
Basic block patterns are an essential starting point for fashion students, designers, brands, and anyone wanting to make their own patterns. Print, adjust and create your own designs from a perfectly structured foundation.
